The Danish Technological Institute (DTI) is a self-owned and non-profit institution. The overall objective of the DTI is, among others, to increase the interaction between Danish and foreign research institutions and companies with the purpose of still being abreast of developments. At the same time, the aim is to be beneficial to the Danish society in general, and Danish industry in particular.

The Institute’s strategy is for instance to crystallize new regulations and parameters for useful analyses and tools. The tasks will primarily be initiated by the individual centres on their specific subject areas. DTI has several years of experience related to research in energy-efficient components and façade solutions, thermal accumulation in building constructions and systems for building installations.

Ongoing research projects are including issues as mini heat pumps, low-exergy district heating systems, phase changing materials, energy-neutral buildings, among others.
